Hareem Farooq Ready to Take Over the first PISA Awards

 Actress and producer Hareem Farooq has been announced as the host, along with an exciting solo performance, for the first Pakistan International Screen Awards (PISA) scheduled to be held in Dubai on Feb 7th, 2020. After becoming the first female celebrity to host Pakistan Super League (PSL) in 2018, and having hosted the Hum Awards for two consecutive years, the talented star is not a new name in the hosting game, however this is the first time Hareem Farooq will be doing a solo performance on stage at an awards function. U.S. and Sindh Government Partner to Improve Wastewater Management in Jacobabad

Residents of Jacobabad will enjoy clean water supply and wastewater management systems, thanks to United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded Sindh Municipal Services Program (MSP). USAID Mission Director Julie Koenen and Chairman of the Sindh Planning & Development Board, Muhammad Waseem signed the implementation letter for the upgrade and rehabilitation of the wastewater system in Jacobabad under the $40 million program. The Sindh Municipal Services Program will provide more than 300,000 residents of the city of Jacobabad with clean drinking water, along with support on water governance and better solid waste management and sanitation facilities. Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Acting Consul General Jack Hillmeyer witnessed the ceremony held at the Chief Minister’s House, along with USAID Deputy Mission Director Clay Epperson. U.S. and the Sindh Government Open Another State-of-the-Art School in Karachi

 Local students in Karachi will have a new school for their education this year thanks to an on-going partnership between the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Sindh government. On Monday, USAID Mission Director Julie Koenen and Sindh Minister for Labor, Information and Archives, Saeed Ghani inaugurated the Yousuf Goth school in Gadap Town, Karachi.  Starting in April, approximately 600 local students will study at this school and benefit from the modern classrooms and facilities. “The partnership between the U.S. Government and Sindh has already resulted in improved quality of education in the province’s public schools,” Mission Director Koenen said.  “The children in Sindh, who receive free education in state-of-the-art schools, will grow up to become the next generation of Pakistan’s engineers, doctors, teachers, and entrepreneurs.” Minister Ghani expressed his appreciation for the U.S. Government’s strong support ...
